The Lotus Hour: Walking With Oshun, When Spirit Had Other Plans

During our most recent Lotus Hour meditation with Celestine’s Creations, the intention was simple: connect with our spirit animal.

I twisted something light, sipped on my 777 portal punch, and even took a smooth shot of D’Ussé — to loosen the ego and welcome Spirit in with love and reverence.

But what happened next wasn’t what I expected…
Because I didn’t meet a creature.

I met a goddess.

 

The Fire, The Flame & The Frequency

Before we pulled a single card, we lit the flame.

We burned a ritual blend in our fire bowl — a sacred cleansing to clear the deck and open the portal. No candles. Just raw flame and intention. 🔥

Next to it sat a greenish-blue crystal, leaning more toward green — heart-centered, earthy, and resonant with feminine wisdom. Without even realizing it, we placed it beside the flame… directly aligned with the womb of the card we’d soon pull:

✨ Oshun Manifesting Birth.

Y’all… that was no coincidence. That was divine choreography.

The crystal mirrored the portal before we even touched the deck. Spirit had already arrived.

 

The Oshun Takeover

We used the Faces of Oshun Oracle Deck, and Oshun came through every single card:

• 🌸 Oshun Manifesting Birth

• 🍯 Oshun’s Honey Pot

• 🌾 Oshun of the Drought

• 🌊 Oshun Overflows

• 🛡️ Oshun the Warrior

To close, we pulled one final card from African Goddess Rising —

and who greeted us there? Ezrulie Dantor.

Together, these cards reminded me:

You’re not just birthing — you’re battling for what you’re birthing.
You’re not just soft — you’re sovereign.
And your flow? It’s not random — it’s ritual.

 

The 777 Portal Punch That Opened More Than Taste Buds

To honor the energy of the 7/7/7 portal, I sipped on a sacred drink crafted with:

• 🍋 Lemon – for cleansing, clarity, and opening the way

• 🍯 Honey – to call in sweetness, abundance, and divine love

• 🫐 Blueberries – for intuition and spiritual protection

• 💧 Water – Oshun’s sacred element, embodying flow and emotion

• 🧂 Salt – for grounding and energetic preservation

And then…

🥃 A shot of D’Ussé —

A toast to Spirit. To Oshun. To the richness of being alive and aware.

This wasn’t just a drink.

It was an offering in motion — a libation to my higher self.
Spirit showed up in the sip before she showed up in the spread.

 

💫 A Different Kind of Journey

I came to meet a guide with fur or feathers.
Instead, I met the river.
I met the mirror.
I met myself.

This journey reminded me that I don’t always need to look outside for signs.
Sometimes, the goddess within is the one calling me home.

From overflow to drought… from womb to warrior… Oshun showed me I am every phase.

And Ezrulie? She reminded me I can be both protector and priestess.
Both honey and fire.

 

The Song That Floated In…

After pulling the cards, as I reflected, this lyric dropped into my spirit like a confirmation:

“I made a couple M’s with my best friends

Turned all my L’s into lessons

I’m the rose that came from the concrete in the Rolls

I’m like gold, I’m life goals, man, I’m chosen, I’m floatin’”

That was the frequency.
That was the confirmation.
That was Oshun talking through Cardi B.

 

So What Now?

I’ll be journeying again soon. But this time, I’m not searching.

I’m simply opening.
Because now I know…
I am the energy. I am the animal. I am the altar.

And Spirit will show up however she pleases — as long as I stay ready.

Thank you, ancestors.

And thank you, flame, crystal, punch, and prayer — for setting the stage before I even asked the question.
