“The Dream is Breaking”: A Saturn Retrograde Reflection

“The Dream is Breaking”: A Saturn Retrograde Reflection

Whew… where do I even begin?

I didn’t wake up expecting to write this. Honestly, I didn’t even wake up on time for Wake, Bake & Pull like I planned.

But Spirit? She was right on schedule. Loud. Clear. Unshakable.

This wasn’t just a reading today — it was a cosmic check-in.

A conversation with the Earth, my ancestors, the elements… and with y’all.

How It Started: A Late Pull With a Loud Message

We asked:

“How are we walking into this Saturn Retrograde?”

I pulled three cards:

  1. Oshun the Warrior – Power. Voice. Boundaries. No more shrinking.

  2. Oshun of Resurrection – Rebirth through the wreckage. It’s time.

  3. Oshun of the Soil – Rest. Grounding. Sacred slowness.

And right before I pulled that third card, I caught myself singing:

“Daydream… I fell asleep beneath the flowers…”

I didn’t even realize what I was doing until Sam pointed it out. That song?

It was Lupe Fiasco’s “Daydreamin’” — and when I sat with it, I realized: this wasn’t just a melody. It was a message.

Lupe talks about waking up inside illusions — the distractions, the noise, the lies we’re told.

That’s exactly what Saturn retrograde is here to expose.

And the fact that it came through before I even pulled the grounding card? Yeah… Spirit was speaking.

The Moth on the Fence

Later that day, Sam told me she saw a giant moth sitting still on her wooden fence.

Not just any moth — a Polyphemus moth, with eyes on its wings.

The fence represents the boundary between timelines.

The moth is transformation in the dark.

The eyes? That was Spirit — watching. Present. Holding space.

You’re not alone at the edge of change.

You’re being witnessed. Guarded. Guided.

The Rocks That Found Me First

Before any of this, I picked up a $10 tin of “rocks.” Thought it was junk.

But when I opened it?

Crystals. Stones. Sacred tools.

And on July 4th, when Sam and I were deep in conversation about the Texas floods and the boat fire on Lake Lanier, I realized…

I was holding those same rocks.

The ones I “just happened to buy.”

It’s like Spirit placed them in my path ahead of time — knowing I’d need them.

They helped ground that conversation and helped me connect the dots.

Then Came the Floods

In a previous download, we had already tracked the July 4th events — and they were loud.

  • Texas was hit with flash floods — a collective sign for the South.

  • Lake Lanier — built over a drowned Black town — caught fire. Fire on top of water. On Independence Day.

And then?

Floods hit:

  • North Carolina — my paternal bloodline.

  • Massachusetts — my birth state.

But not just anywhere.

Quincy.

Right down the street from where Brice and I brought Noah home.

The same place where racist neighbors called the cops on us 18 times.

A former sundown town, now flooded.

Just a few towns over?

Weymouth and Salem — sites of persecution, witch trials, and ancestral memory.

Tell me that’s not a spiritual reckoning.

“Daydreamin’” Was a Prophecy

The song kept playing in my head. Jill Scott’s voice soft, hypnotic.

“Daydream, I fell asleep beneath the flowers…”

But Lupe’s verses? That’s where the truth hits.

He’s talking about media illusions. Societal distractions. Manufactured dreams we’re expected to stay inside — even when they don’t serve us.

That song showed up before the card pull because it was a coded message:

Wake up. Speak up. Break the dream.

That’s what Saturn’s doing right now.

And that’s what we’re doing, too.

Book Club Reflections:

African Goddess Initiation

We’re reading African Goddess Initiation in the PGST Book Club — and every part of this mirrors the work we’re doing.

  • Gate 1: Truth

  • Gate 2: Rebirth

  • Gate 3: Water and Womb Work

Oshun’s energy is present in every conversation, every card, every clue.

We’re not just reading about transformation — we’re living it.

What It Means for PGST

PGST isn’t just a collective. It’s a living altar.

We’re doing shadow work in community.

We’re reclaiming spiritual power in places where women were silenced.

We’re telling the truth about what the world tries to hide.

And with every storm, every card, every download — Spirit is reminding us:

You are not here to survive the dream.

You are here to break it… and build something divine.

Final Reflection

If you’ve been feeling the shift — you’re not imagining it.

You’re not broken. You’re not behind.

You’re awakening.

You’re remembering.

And yes — the dream is breaking.

But what rises next… is you.
